India is suffering from so many diseases like
corruption, unemployment, pollution, population burden, poverty, crimes,
gang rapes, child labour and above all illiteracy. Illiteracy is the
main illness that has engulfed the nation in all the other diseases. Illiteracy
is just like HIV infection that leads to all the other diseases and finally
death.
India currently has the largest illiterate
population of any nation on earth. Despite government programs, India's literacy rate
increased very slowly and a 1990
study stated that it would take until 2060 for India to
achieve universal literacy at the current rate of progress. The 2011
census, however, indicated a 2001-2011 decadal literacy
growth of 9.2%, which is slower than the growth seen
during the previous decade.
There is a wide gender difference
in the literacy rate in India: effective literacy rates (age 7 and
above) in 2011 were 82.14% for men
and 65.46% for women. The low female literacy rate has had
a severely negative impact on family planning and population control efforts in
India. The census provided a positive indication that
growth in female literacy rates (11.8%) was significantly
faster than male literacy rates (6.9%) in the last decade,
which means the gender gap appears to be narrowing. Literacy can solve all the
problems in a row but providing education to each & every person is itself
a big challenge.
Even in 65years of independence, India is
unable to fulfill the basic need of education. There is something which
is missing in efforts of government of India and citizens that has kept
this mission still incomplete. We have always heard that government schemes are
just waste because they do not reach to the needy and their availing process is
so tedious and confusing that mass does not understand and get the benefit. So here, Search Schemes
has taken an initiative to bridge this gap between government schemes and
people. SearchSchemes.com is an eportal where 400+ state & central
government schemes are explained in both Hindi and English along with the
applying process for them. There are 20+ education schemes like Saakshar
